Membership

The Society currently has 84 members, including three ladies, two of which drive steam locomotives.

Some members are interested in just the model railway or miniature engineering aspects, while others have an interest in both. A single subscription to the Society enables members to operate their rolling stock on the Model Railway layouts in the clubroom and/or drive their locomotives on the Miniature Railway track at Jocks Lane Park.

Members' are welcome to invite a guest to an entertainment evening.

There are 4 categories of membership, consisting of:

Full - £40 per year

Senior (over state pension age) - £30 per year

Junior & Country (over 20 miles from Bracknell) - £12 per year

(All rates are subject to revision)

Each member receives a newsletter, which is issued about 6 times a year.

The junior grade is for those under 16 years old, who must be under the supervision of an adult member.

The subscription year starts on 1st April, but for anybody joining after this date the subscription payable is reduced each quarter.

Prospective members are welcome to attend a few meetings before paying the subscription. In the case of potential junior members the Committee must approve an application.
